COMMENTS: Compilation made by bassist Bill Gibson who add the following notes:
"This compilation is a companion piece to the official live release, Girls On The Beach (With Cars), and contains the best available live recordings of all the songs we didn't use on the album (including the songs from the Long Live The New Flesh EP), a few unrecorded originals and a bunch of covers.
We considered giving this away as a mail-in offer with the Half A Cow CD compilation (Where Are All The Single Girls) released a few years back, but in the end I just made copies for the rest of the band and some close friends.
It's mostly soundboard recordings, but tracks 19 to 22 are audience recordings. This should not diminish your enjoyment of these otherwise-unavailable tracks in any way. All tracks are taken directly from the master cassette recordings. As a bonus, I've included the sole remaining unreleased studio recording of the band, an early take of I Don't Need The Reasons with acoustic guitar solo, as alluded to on the GOTB(WC) sleeve notes."
